We went with Turnauga
to the Ulla river, May 20th 2006 ... my second rafting experience
When: Rainy and windy Sunday morning of March
Where: Ulla river close to Santiago, Galicia
Who: twenty folks ... only knew 3 of them at the beginning of the day ...
after fighting in the water and having lunch together CHURRASCO and barrantes
con jaseosa ... we were all old friends :)
Why: why not?
After the rafting, as dessert, we jumped to the river with our neoprene
from a 5 meter high bridge ... quite good experience

This time it was with
SAF PAR
in the Zambezi river, just after the Victoria Falls, in the border between
Zambia and Zimbadwe, August 3rd 2007 ... the REAL experience
As they claim in their web "the
wildest one-day whitewater run in the World"
We ran on "high water" season from Zimbadwe, so rapids from 11 to 23, about
18km.
I promise, we had fun in the river!!
Although we don't have pictures of that, our raft flipped in
- "Three Sisters" #12A,B,C: Class 3/4: 12B is the famous Zambezi
surfing wave for kayakers - surfs best between August and December with two
windows and a massive green shoulder and a big eddy.
But in the other hand we succeed in
- "Oblivion" # 18: Class 5: Three waves make up THE rapid on the
Zambezi.. The 3rd crashing wave is responsible for more raft flips than any
other in the world - only about 1 in 4 attempts succeed!
